Why is Physical Therapy important to a person?
Physical Therapy is an avenue to health. It allows a person to learn about their body’s strengths, limitations, habits, and postures. Knowledge allows a person to make changes and grow in the areas of need.
Why did you go into Physical Therapy?
I chose to go into Physical Therapy when I saw that the field includes betterment of the body along with the spirit. One of my observational rounds allowed me to see how important it is for a person to be heard. After the PT listened and responded with a caring heart, the client was able to engage in the movement with less pain. This is beautiful!
What is something you want people to know about you?
I LOVE new experiences! Please share with me when you find a new hiking trail or learn to make a new craft or went to a new café. An interesting thing is that I’m also afraid of heights and am NOT a thrill-seeker. So… skydiving is out, but learning to make cheese is definitely in.
